Birthday Beauty Basket (part 2)

This post took a while to complete since my packages arrived separately. Still, it was totally worth the wait. :)

The first item I purchased from the lot above was the one that took the longest to arrive. As soon as tarte announced that they’re releasing another Big Blush Book, I had to set up an alarm to snag one.

Before you say anything — yes, it’s HUGE. The pans are all full sized and begging to be transferred to 2 Z Palettes. Even with the additional 8.25% Texas sales tax, this beaut at $64.95 is an absolute steal!

Speaking of steals, you may have heard me gush about this Sephora kit on my Instagram:

Most images online make it appear so huge but really, it’s just this big:

Opening the cute box *swoon*

$97 value for only $28? Cart it. The Sephora Give Me Some Lip offers great variety for the remainder of summer crossing over to fall. My fave so far from the lot’s the liquid lipstick from Too Faced (first time I got to try this cult fave) and Smashbox (quite an underrated superstar from this roster).

Here's another kit I waited so long to be back in stock. For $32, I shouldn't have thought twice on the Burberry Beauty Box. It's totally worth every penny. While you can't pick out the blush and lipstick shade, you're in for the win because these are universally flattering. I have both the mini and the full-sized Light Glow Natural Blush in Cameo Blush No. 02 and it's been a staple in my boudoir for 2 years.

Brit tartan love!

Strobing might be out per NYFW but hey -- one's got to have a healthy glow this fall and winter. This BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Opal Glow On The Go is a great entry kit for anyone who's new to the said technique or brand. These minis will definitely last over at least one season even if used daily. Great value for only $20!

The last two items on my cart are my current EOTD essentials. The tarte Tartelette Tease ($21) is a great palette weather you're on the go or you need a basic neutral palette. It's great on its own (vibrant, pigmented, and lasts me over 10 hours) but on days that I need eyeshadow insurance, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion keeps everything looking fresh and flawless. I've been a fan since early or mid-2000s, I can't quite imagine my makeup life without it! <3
